Manager, Credit
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Credit Manager to provide independent assessment and oversight in credit approval activities and ensure full compliance with regulatory and Headquarter requirements. The role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong banking industry exposure and a proven track record of collaboration to work with the key stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present high quality independent credit evaluation reports for corporate banking application recommended by business, particularly in syndication or collateral basis
Independently evaluate and propose effective mitigation solutions for the risks of corporate and institutional banking transactions, ensuring full compliance with local regulations, industry laws, and internal credit policies
Review existing accounts, monitor collateral covenants, and identify early warning signs of credit degradation
Participate in the formulation, review and enhancement of credit related policies, procedures and approval framework
Advise business on credit-related regulatory requirements and policy interpretation during the credit review/assessment process
Support ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned
Requirements
Education & Experience
Master’s degree, preferably in Finance, Science, or Information Technology
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement/cash flow analysis, financial modeling/covenants, knowledge in banking regulations and compliance
Minimum 5-7 years credit analysis experience in corporate banking (preferably in syndicated loan, bilateral loan, corporate, SME, or related areas)
Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage
Solid experience and good knowledge of Mainland China business policies and regulations would be an advantage.
Skills & Abilities
Good command of written and spoken in Putonghua, Cantonese, & English
Good knowledge of MS Office/Excel
