I am a non-permanent Hong Kong Identity Card holder. Am I eligible to apply for this loan?

Yes, we accept applications from both permanent and non-permanent Hong Kong identity card holders. All applicants must be aged 18 or above with a stable income (salaried or self-employed). Property investors, second-home buyers, and primary residents are all considered.

Is a Japanese residence permit or visa required?

Japanese residency or citizenship is not required. You can complete your Japan mortgage application using your valid Hong Kong identity documents.

Do I need a Japanese guarantor?

No, a Japanese guarantor is not required.

Do I have to visit Japan for applying this mortgage?

No. The entire mortgage application process is completed in Hong Kong—no need to travel to Japan, making it simple and convenient for you.

Can I apply remotely from Hong Kong?

You are welcome to submit your loan application as per channels stated in the application form. However, once the application is approved, a brief in-person visit to our Hong Kong office will be required for signing the loan agreement.

What if I don't have a Japanese bank account?

A Japanese bank account is not required. We offer flexible payment options for smooth transactions in both Hong Kong and Japan. You can repay with Japanese Yen, staying hassle-free from foreign exchange risk.

Is it mandatory to open an account or put deposit in ORIX?

In most cases, we do not require customers to open a deposit account or retain cash deposits here. This may vary depending on the individual application circumstances.

How long does the entire process take from loan application to execution?

The entire process, including credit assessment, documentation review and on-site due diligence, typically takes 6 to 8 weeks, upon received required documents.

How can I start the application?

Can I repay the mortgage in HKD?

Yes, repayment in HKD is accepted. The HKD amount will be converted to JPY at our daily exchange rate.

Note: The loan remains JPY-denominated.
