Announces Special Support Measures for Customers Affected by Tai Po Fire
ORIX Asia Limited (“OAL”), a restricted licence bank, extends its deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the recent fire incident at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po and expresses sincere condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and to those who have been injured or displaced.
Our commitment to support
As a member of the Hong Kong banking community, OAL is committed to supporting affected individual during this difficult time, in line with the relief efforts being coordinated across the banking industry. Our teams stand ready to offer appropriate assistance to existing customers whose financial situation may have been impacted by the incident.
Special arrangements for existing customers
To help relieve immediate financial pressure, OAL will adopt a flexible and empathetic approach in handling repayment arrangements for qualified existing customers who have been directly affected by the Tai Po fire. These may include considering extensions of repayment periods, temporary repayment relief and waivers of certain relevant handling or late charges, having regard to each customer’s individual circumstances and needs.
